About Drew

Drew is a Malaysian. This rice eater, noodle sipper discovered his passion for graffiti art back in 1992 when he took the train in Sydney with his parents where he had his first sight on graffiti tags that were covering the interior of the train. He only got involved seriously with it after high school in 2000 when his first piece was painted on his bedroom wall.

In 2001, Drew joined LimKokWing Institute of Creative Technology, where he then met inspiring friends who encouraged him to create animations that are influenced by graffiti art & style.

By 2004, “Sembur With Style” (SWS) was formed a week right before Drew left to Melbourne to continue his studies in Bachelors of Multimedia. SWS consisting of Drew, VDS212 & Suga52 was formed with the intention to stretch the capabilities of Malaysian graffiti art while expanding it internationally. It was also during this time in Melbourne that he met Sona, the latest addition to the SWS team.

Back in 2005, Drew joins “TAC” & “BFP” crews that were founded by Syco (Singapore) & Sona respectively, consisting of various graffiti writers around the world. After an inspirational year in Melbourne he finally completed his course and decided to continue his pursues for his passions.

Currently in 2006, Drew can mostly be found in his laboratory discovering more fresh ideas while planning with Pinky to take over the world!
